Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan has finalized the date for his Sanatana Dharma Protection Tour, which will commence on the 12th of this month. As part of this tour, he will be visiting Kerala and Tamil Nadu, covering various temples over four days.
His journey will begin with a visit to the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Kerala. From there, he will proceed to the Madurai Meenakshi Temple, Sri Parashurama Swamy Temple, Agastya Jeeva Samadhi, Kumbeshwara Temple, Swamimalai, and Thiruthani Subramanya Swamy Temple.
The majority of Pawan’s tour will take place in Tamil Nadu. He had previously condemned Udhayanidhi Stalin’s controversial remarks on Sanatana Dharma, which became a heated political issue in Tamil Nadu. Now, with Pawan Kalyan personally visiting temples in the state, his tour is expected to become a political talking point. Since he is fluent in Tamil, anything he says is likely to have a significant political impact, making his visit all the more sensational.
Tamil Nadu is set to go to elections next year, and the state is witnessing an ideological battle. While the DMK and AIADMK are the dominant forces, BJP remains their primary opposition but has been struggling to strongly establish its ideological stance among the people. There are multiple reasons for this. However, political analysts believe that if Pawan Kalyan’s tour ignites discussions and shifts public perception even slightly, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai could capitalize on it and take the momentum forward.
