The final leg of the graduate MLC elections are underway with the counting happening till late in the night last night. The most significant MLC election is obviously the Guntur-Krishna MLC election which has TDP’s Alapati Raja in contention.
As expected, Raja is winning the election and that too by a pretty strong margin as he has set a new all time record for TDP right by the fourth round of counting.
After 6 rounds of counting, Raja is trending with a majority of 58,000 votes which is already the highest majority of all time in this MLC electoral history on behalf of TDP.
Notably, this very MLC seat was lost by TDP in 2017 which was an unexpected blow. Now, they’re winning the seat by a record breaking majority.
As for Godavari MLC election, TDP again made a strong start here by leading by over 10,000 votes right in the very first round of counting. Another huge victory is on the cards here.
