Nani Is Safe For Now With Anticipatory Bail

YSRCP key leader and former minister Perni Nani, has officially safe now. Since the alliance came to power in Andhra Pradesh, cases have been filed against several YSRCP leaders. While the YSRCP was in power, many of its leaders faced accusations of misconduct, leading to a series of legal cases. Some leaders have been arrested, while others have sought anticipatory bail from the courts, avoiding arrest.

During YSRCP’s tenure, Nani served as a key minister in Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s first cabinet, handling multiple important departments. Known for his prompt response to issues, sharp wit, and composed demeanor, Nani emerged as a capable leader who refrains from using offensive language against rivals. He also possesses the ability to effectively counter any criticism directed at him. These traits helped him rise as an influential and irreplaceable leader.

However, during YSRCP’s time in power, Perni Nani allegedly set up a godown under his wife’s name in Machilipatnam and leased it to Civil Supplies. There were claims that the godown was constructed with the specific purpose of renting it out to Civil Supplies. While there were no issues during YSRCP’s rule, the situation changed once the opposition coalition took power. Allegations surfaced that tons of rice had gone missing from the godown, with Nani reportedly stating that he would repay the money related to the missing stock. This led to a case being filed against him, his wife, and his associates.

To avoid arrest in this case, Perni Nani, along with his family, reportedly went underground for some time. However, he later approached the court and managed to secure some relief. Today, he was granted anticipatory bail in this case. The High Court issued a verdict granting Nani anticipatory bail, and as a result, Perni Nani has officially joined the ‘Safe Batch’ of the YSR Congress Party.
