Sharmila’s Defamation Attempt on Babu Backfires with Proof

Earlier in the day today, during the ongoing Assembly session, the government of Andhra Pradesh communicated about the upcoming free RTC travel for women program. It was officially confirmed that the program will be implemented only for intra district travel and not for travel between different districts.

Essentially speaking, it was communicated that women can travel free of cost within a district but cannot travel to any other districts.

Shortly after this clarification was issued in the Andhra Pradesh assembly, there was a fabricated campaign to defame the Chandrababu. Notably Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila also took part in this state campaign as she is selling mud at the Babu government.

“It is outrageous that the free RTC bus rides for women program is being meddled with. They(TDP) made a fuss in the elections, got votes, and now they are applying conditions, saying that the scheme will be limited to the district level, which is a fraud. They are making excuses without any sincerity to implement it. This is what it means to take a U-turn at the very beginning.” Sharmila tweeted. This was further amplified by YCP who made a meal of the communication, saying TDP is changing its word after the election.

However, just hours after Sharmila made this comment, it was immediately rebuked with adequate proof by the TDP ecosystem. The party shared an earlier video of Chandrababu from the pre-poll election campaign where he clearly communicated that the program will only be applicable for district level travel and not for multiple districts.

“TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and youth leader Nara Lokesh had clearly promised before the elections that women would be able to travel free of cost from anywhere to anywhere in a district. They are now keeping that promise. Jagan, who is impatient when it comes to the welfare of the people, is venting his venom over free bus travel.” the communication from the TDP on this matter read.
