The auspicious and much celebrated Holi festival is finally upon us, and Hyderabad city is preparing to fully indulge in the festival of colours this year as well. However, the Hyderabad police have a few regulations in effect and they are to be followed strictly by all residents.
The Commissioner of Hyderabad city Police CV Anand issued a new set of instructions yesterday as he warned the residents of legal actions if they cross the line with the celebrations. He issued two key instruction ahead of the Holi season and here’s a look into the same.
1. Throwing colours or coloured water on unwilling persons, places and Vehicles or smearing unwilling people with colour, on public roads and public places in Hyderabad City, causing annoyance.
2. Prohibit movement of two wheelers and other vehicles in groups on streets and public places disturbing peace and order and or causing inconveniences, annoyance or danger to public.
The main communication that has been made is that people are prohibited from throwing colours and other material at unwinding people who are going on roads. This is reportedly going to be followed in a very strict manner all across the city.
These regulations will come to effect from 6 PM today, March 14, to 6 PM tomorrow, March 14.
