By-poll Victory Josh: Vijayashanthi To Meet Top BJP Leaders

The victory in the Dubakka by-poll has given a good josh to the Telangana BJP and is confident of carrying the same momentum in the GHMC elections too. Simultaneously the T-BJP is looking to strengthen the party in the region by inducting leaders from other parties.

First in this race is Vijayashanthi. Already BJP has held talks with Vijayashanthi and she was promised a key role, if she takes up the saffron flag. The latest development is, Vijayashanthi will be flying to New Delhi next week and is expected to meet the top leaders of BJP like Amit Shah and JP Nadda. After holding talks with them, Vijayashanthi will decide upon a date to join the BJP. From the T-BJP sources we hear that the lady superstar will join BJP before November 24th.

But there is a big strategy of BJP behind this. As Vijayashanthi is a well-known personality in Tamil Nadu, BJP wants to utilise here in both the Telugu states as well as in Tamil Nadu. With the Assembly polls of TN scheduled next year, Vijayashanthi’s charisma added with recently inducted Khushbu’s popularity would certainly help BJP to gain a vote share.

The other leader Telangana-BJP is eyeing is former MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy. Popularly known as TKR, he lost the 2018 election to Sabitha Indra Reddy. Now that Sabitha is in the TRS party, the importance of Teegala has reduced and so he is said to be upset with TRS leadership. BJP is trying to reach Teegala and if it happens, Telangana-BJP is set to become a force in the state.
