There is no change in the fate of the Telangana Congress party in the state. In the Dubbaka by-elections, Congress was confined to third place as it got just close to 22,000 votes. This is a humiliating defeat and compared to the last elections (2018), Congress vote share has drastically gone down.
With such a disastrous result, Congress karyakartas are fuming up. In Warangal, the party activists have burned T-PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy’s effigy out of anger. They blamed Uttam for the party’s defeat and demanded immediate removal of him from PCC post.
In fact Uttam has been at the receiving end since a long time and the demand to change the PCC chief has been in discussion for a while. Many party leaders said that the Dubbaka by-poll will be the last chance to Uttam and if he doesn’t deliver, he would certainly be axed.
The other day AICC secretary Madhuyashki Goud has hinted that after Dubbaka by-poll there will be change in T-PCC leadership. So all in all, Uttam’s time is up as T-PCC chief.
