Andhra Pradesh has completed the nomination of the MLA quota MLCs. The process has been a fairly straightforward one due to the overwhelming majority of the NDA alliance in the assembly.
Subsequently, Janasena’s Nagababu, BJP’s Somu Veerraju and TDP’s Beeda Ravi Chandra, Kavali Greeshma, and B Tirumala Naidu have been announced as MLCs in what has been a unanimous election.
As expected, only five nominations were filed in the MLC election this year and all of them belonged to the ruling NDA government.
Of the mentioned candidates who are officially announced as MLC in this unanimous election, Naga Babu is set to be incorporated into the Andhra Pradesh cabinet. This news was communicated by the government already, and it is going to be a matter of time before Naga Babu gets a cabinet berth in the next expansion.
Despite a few hiccups here and there, this nomination process has been a largely peaceful one for the NDA alliance with not much dissent expressed from either of the parties involved.
