Janasena Formation Day: Wah! What A Comeback!

The political journey of Pawan Kalyan and his Janasena party has been nothing short of a cinematic arc. What started of as a non-electoral support to TDP and BJP in 2014, was followed by a tough 2019 campaign where Pawan himself lost both the constituencies.

After the shambolic campaign in 2019, everyone thought Kalyan would find it hard to continue his political career. But he proved to be a different politician altogether as he stood firm and materialised. The NDA alliance between Telugu Desam, Janasena and BJP ahead of the 2024 election.

This alliance turned out to be the career changing one for Kalyan and his Janasena party. While the alliance succeeded in dethroning the rampant YCP, it also reestablished JSP with a new identity.

From a 99% failure rate in the 2019 election, Janasena went to hundred percent strike rate in 2024 by winning every single MLA and MP seat that it contested. This has to be one of the most remarkable comeback stories in Indian politics and Pawan Kalyan was at the focal point for the same.

The relentless fight of Kalyan against Jagan has resulted in rich rewards, not just for JSP, but also the NDA alliance. As a result, all three of these parties are reaping the rewards for acting against Jagan and forming an alliance in 2024.

Kalyan himself has completed remarkable achievement as he erased the humiliation of 2019, where he lost from both constituencies to becoming the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh in the recent election.

Incidentally, Kalyan is going to address his supporters for the first time in such a huge capacity at the 12th formation Day ceremony of Janasena today. The event is happening in Pavan Kalyan’s very own Pitapuram constituency and it will start at 4 PM today.

Kalyan is expected to address his crowds and supporters for 90 minutes, and all eyes are on the kind of speech that he will be delivering. Needless to say, Kalyan has become a lot more thoughtful and conservative with his speeches after coming to power, and there is the demand for him to bring back his fiery best.

With today’s event, being a political coming together, it has to be seen if Kalyan would take the occasion and make strong political statements, which would obviously be aimed at Jagan and YCP.

It has been a while since Andhra Pradesh people got to witness the fire storm side of Pawan Kalyan, as he has become largely sedated and calm these days, which is understandable due to his government position. But there is the demand from his supporters to bring back the old aggressive side of Kalyan, and we could get a feel of the same today.
