Actress Responds On Viral Thopudurthi Video!

The political warfare situation in Andhra Pradesh is hitting new heights, almost every day. While we are seeing intense political commentary from the rolling NDA and opposition YCP on one hand, we are also witnessing scandals and allegations on the other.

Incidentally, one such narrative has been spun against YCP’s ex MLA from Raptadu, Thopudurthi Prakash Reddy and this happened to involve an actress who is associated with Telugu cinema.

Incidentally, a political Twitter handle shared a video of Prakash Reddy in close proximity to a woman at an airport. The narrative was carried in poor light, involving the YCP leader and the woman. It turned out to be that the woman in question here is a Telugu actress named Sumaya Reddy who also happens to be a relative of Thopudurthi.

She eventually released a clarification video today and spoke out about the controversy. “I have worked on a film titled Dear Uma as a producer and am busy with the promotions. This was when my phone rang up with concerned texts from near and dear ones. I then came to know that certain people shared a video and passed their own comments and theories. This is very bad. Using a woman for political gains is to be condemned.”

On the other hand, Thopudurthi Prakash Reddy had also shared pictures of Sumaya Reddy with his family members. This is an indication that they’re family relatives. He referred to the woman as his daughter-like individual.

While the narrative was spun in one way about the YCP leader yesterday, he had a strong reaction to the same today. Prakash Reddy, then stated that he had filed a police complaint against the individual who planted this narrative and later carried it.
