Sai Reddy Returning To Rajya Sabha? But Not With YCP??

Vijaya Sai Reddy has been one of the most trusted and loyal supporters of the YS family over the last few tickets. Even Jagan was particularly lenient towards Sai Reddy and gave him top position in the party apart from making him the Rajya Sabha MP. 

However, after the 2024 electoral defeat, things fell apart between the two of them, and it eventually resulted Sai Reddy deserting Jagan and leaving by YCP. After his departure from YCP Sai Reddy announced that he is leaving politics forever, and will instead focus on agriculture from now.

However, the latest developments, according to a Telugu media report, suggesting that Sai Reddy might be entering politics again after a brief break. 

According to a newspaper clipping, it is being established that Sai Reddy is likely to be incorporated into the same Rajya Sabha again, but this time not on the behalf of YSR Congress on BJP side.

According to this news report from an established Telugu media House Sai Reddy is likely to be incorporated into BJP and will subsequently be sent to the Rajya Sabha later. This is the news that is in circulation since morning.

Factually speaking, it was always expected that Sai Reddy might not fully quit politics after leaving YSR Congress. He had a bit of political fight left in him, and this move to BJP, always suspected by many. 

It can be noted that Sai Reddy promised to leave politics and look after agriculture after leaving YCP. But he kept occasionally making political visits and was even seen in Hyderabad recently during the official visit of the vice president. He always had cordial terms with BJP, and the same was exhibited that day as well.

If at all Sai Reddy joins BJP, it should not be too big of a surprise as this was always on the cards. But the real question will be whether he would maintain his loyalty for Jagan in a secret manner, or whether he would turn against him politically and personally, which was implied in his speeches after quitting the party. 

But on an official note, it must be noted that neither Sai Reddy nor BJP have spoken about this speculation, so we have to see how things turn out in the future.
