After HYDRA, It’s COBRA From BRS!

In Telangana, especially in Hyderabad, the name “Hydra” is creating fear among many people. Hydra is a special task force formed by the Congress government led by CM Revanth Reddy, to protect lakes, ponds, and nalas in the city. Since its launch, Hydra has taken over several properties for the government and even demolished some constructions, including those belonging to poor families and a few influential people.

However, all political parties except Congress are criticizing Hydra’s actions. In this context, BRS leader and former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy’s son, Karthik Reddy, made sensational comments on Sunday. He said that BRS will counter Hydra with its own force called “Cobra.”

On Sunday, leaders from various parties joined BRS in a meeting held at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad. BRS working president KTR and Karthik Reddy attended this event. Speaking at the event, Karthik criticized Hydra, saying it only targets the properties of poor people and opposition leaders, while ignoring illegal properties owned by Congress leaders.

He alleged that Hydra is being misused by the Congress government to help its leaders grab government land. Karthik also said that Hydra, which claims to be protecting assets, is actually acting against that very purpose.

He confidently stated that BRS will return to power in the next elections and once they are back, they will launch “Cobra” to counter Hydra. He said Cobra will work to protect public lands from illegal encroachment by Congress leaders and recover all misused lands.

Karthik pointed out a recent incident near Mailardevpally, where Hydra demolished houses of poor people for road expansion but left the nearby Congress MLA’s illegal construction untouched. He used this as an example to show Hydra’s biased behavior.

He further claimed that BRS has full data on how much public land was illegally occupied during Congress rule and by which leaders. He said they will expose this information soon and take strict action once BRS returns to power.

Karthik, although calm in his overall speech, strongly criticized Hydra and clearly stated BRS’s plan to fight back using Cobra. Interestingly, he made all these comments in the presence of KTR.
