Raj Kasireddy, has reportedly revealed some key details about the liquor scam during the YSRCP rule in Andhra Pradesh. He was questioned by police over the last two days, and trusted sources say he gave shocking statements.
According to Kasireddy, the liquor policy during the YSRCP government was not his idea alone. He reportedly claimed he was just following the instructions of top YSRCP leaders. He named Vikranth Reddy (son of YV Subba Reddy), Sai Reddy, and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy as the main people behind the decisions.
He also allegedly said that most decisions about the liquor trade, targets, and distribution were taken in meetings held in Tadepalli, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. These meetings included a few powerful people, and nothing was done without their approval.
Kasireddy reportedly admitted he was only involved in a few parts of the operation. He claimed Sai Reddy handled all the distillery matters and played a major role. Sajjala, he said, gave instructions about which brands to push and where the liquor should be sold. Even a former minister was involved, though he did not name the person directly.
After gathering more information, the police have now produced Raj Kasireddy in court. More details may come out soon as the investigation continues.
