KCR Family Playing Both Sides on Chandrababu Naidu!

Before the potentially consequential 2023 Telangana Assembly election, BRS had a firm stand against Chandrababu Naidu. KCR was already opposed Chandrababu, and KTR followed a similar approach, questioning the need to protest Babu’s arrest in Hyderabad — a move that eventually anguished voters.

However, after the election, things have taken a big twist regarding the KCR family’s approach to Chandrababu.

While KCR continues to speak against Babu occasionally — including in the other day BRS meeting where he said Babu had removed the word “Telangana” from Assembly records — KTR is taking a different stand.

On one hand, KCR targets Babu whenever needed, while the likes of KTR, Kavitha, and Harish Rao are singing a different tune.

KTR credited Chandrababu for his significant role in the development of Hyderabad. Kavitha termed Chandrababu a historic statesman and warrior who withstood the test of time. Harish Rao also carried a similar tone, recently acknowledging Babu’s undeniable impact on the united Andhra Pradesh ecosystem.

While the KCR family’s previous stance was unilaterally against Chandrababu, it now appears they are playing both sides. KCR continues to pass verbal satires on Babu, while his descendants speak very positively of him.

The one constant here is that Chandrababu has maintained his dignity all along. Despite the dual stance taken by the KCR family, he never lost his cool or spoke a word against them. In fact, he was one of the first people to visit KCR after his hip replacement surgery. However, such ideal political practices have not been reciprocated toward Babu, remarked a seasoned analyst.
