Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan delivered a strong rebuttal to Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s remarks about the Indus Waters Treaty.
Pawan Kalyan stated that such provocative threats from Pakistan should be met with reminders of history. He pointedly said, “They should be reminded how they lost the past three wars. We have to send the visuals to them—around 70,000 of their soldiers—and how they were treated. If they try to go overboard, every Indian will come to Pakistan. If the need arises, we will spill our blood for the nation.”
Pawan’s statement reflects a rising wave of nationalist sentiment in India following the Pahalgam attack, where 26 tourists were killed by terrorists reportedly targeting based on religion.
Earlier, reacting to India’s reported move to suspend the treaty following the Pahalgam terror attack, Bhutto-Zardari declared, “The Indus is ours and will remain ours—either our water will flow through it, or their blood.”
