Ex MLA of Tanuku and senior leader of Telugu Desam Party YT Raja died of illness. YT Raja, who was being treated at a private hospital in Hyderabad, breathed his last on Sunday morning. YT Raja recently recovered from CoronaVirus. However, post-Covid illness remained. With this, Raja came to Hyderabad for tests and better treatment. At last, he succumbed to the ailment while undergoing the treatment. YT Raja is survived by a son and daughter. Raja was known for his down-to-earth nature and his relations with people. His death has come as a major shock to TDP leaders and party workers in Tanuku Assembly constituency.
YT Raja’s full name was Yalamarthi Timma Raja. He was from Karamchedu. However, he was adopted by Yalamarthi Narayana Rao of West Godavari’s Tanuku. Raja had served as TDP MLA from Tanuku between 1999 and 2004. However, he lost in 2004 and 2009 Assembly elections with a slender margin. TDP has denied him ticket in 2014 and 2019 elections. Since then Raja had been staying away from active politics. Yet he remained with the TDP. TDP leaders condoled Raja’s sudden demise
