It is a known fact that YS Jagan is one of the richest MLAs in India with declared assets of Rs 529 crores, according to his electoral affidavit. And on top of that, his YSR Congress is one of the top funded regional parties in India.
But as shocking, as with my sound, Jagan sat in front of the media today and confidently said he does not have the financial resources to run his party and invited donations for the same.
When the national Media asked to Jagan about the money trial in the AP liquor case that is leading to him, Jagan asked “What is this money trial? Where is this money”.
In order to strengthen his claim, further, Jagan said he is facing difficulties in running his party and asked for money. “Where is this money trial? Is this ChandraBabu’s money? If you find the money, then please give it to me. I am having difficulties in running my party. I will take money from anyone for the sake of my party” Jagan confidently said.
But in reality, according to the fiscal data submitted to the election commission, YSR Congress has declared assets worth Rs 241 crore (based on 2023-24 data). This makes the Jagan led outfit one of the richest parties in all of India.
This strong, financial backing and related fiscal data invalidates Jagan’s argument about facing financial struggles to run YCP.
