Hottest Rumour In Telangana: Kavitha in Touch With Congress?

One of the most talked-about political developments in Telangana is the reported dissent brewing between Kavitha and her father, BRS president KCR. This internal rift has sparked a new political theory in the state and could have far-reaching implications.

According to recent media reports, Kavitha is said to be considering an exit from BRS to join the Congress party. The buzz is that she’s unhappy with KCR’s soft stance towards the BJP—especially given her personal legal troubles—and sees Congress as a more fitting alternative.

The reports also suggest that Kavitha has already communicated her interest to join Congress, but the party has not taken a final call. The leadership is said to be cautious, fearing public perception that Congress is exploiting a family divide within BRS for political advantage.

Despite this, it’s being reported that Kavitha has appointed a mediator to initiate talks with Congress leaders, indicating that she is serious about making the switch, even as Congress reportedly remains wary due to the image hit she took from the liquor scam.

What’s making this situation even more complex is the speculation that a few BRS MLAs from Greater Hyderabad are planning to follow Kavitha if she defects. They’re believed to be waiting for the right moment and view Kavitha’s exit as a strategic opportunity.

These are testing times for KCR, who must now try to retain control over his party, manage his daughter’s discontent, and prevent further erosion of BRS’s strength.
