Andhra Pradesh chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken special interest in the stream of Artificial Intelligence(AI). He had already proposed the plan to develop Amaravati as the AI city of India, and he is taking proactive measures on the same now.
Babu has now communicated that the government of Andhra Pradesh is collaborating with tech giant NVIDIA for enchantment of AI ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. This project is starting from the grassroot level as NVIDIA is committed to train as many as 10,000 students in AP through AI tools.
With support from NVIDIA for curriculum and training, 10,000 engineering students will receive skill training over the next two years, while 500 AI startups from AP will gain access to its Inception Program for global exposure and key resources, Babu stated.
Further, plans are underway to establish India’s first AI University in collaboration with NVIDIA for shaping the infrastructure and research capabilities. From education and skilling to research and innovation, this initiative is laying the foundation for a Swarna Andhra Pradesh.
NVIDIA is one of the highest valued companies in the globe, and they would certainly play a significant role in enhancing the AI ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. Partnering with such a mega global giant would reap rich rewards to Andhra Pradesh, and that is exactly what CM Babu is aiming for.
It must be noted that Chandra Babu had even struck another similar deal with Microsoft as well. Once these two projects are up and running Amaravati could well and truly start to take shape as the AI city of India.
