Three Burning Issues In AP, One Big Silence!

The new NDA government in Andhra Pradesh is started facing serious heat on three major issues. These are not behind-the-scenes developments, they are happening in full public view. The surprising part is that no one from the administration seems to be stepping in to listen or respond. The big question is, does CM Chandrababu Naidu know what is happening, or is he being kept in the dark?

Here are the three major issues causing concern:

  1. Smart Meters Installation

The government has reportedly quietly begun installing smart electricity meters in regular households. People are openly opposing this move, but there is no proper communication from the officials. Those installing the meters are reportedly claiming to be from the Adani group and are directly replacing existing meters. Even Left political groups that once supported Chandrababu are now starting protests on the ground, demanding clarity and transparency.

  1. Land Pooling for Amaravati

The government plans to collect another 44,000 acres in the Amaravati region, in addition to the 34,000 acres already pooled earlier. However, many farmers who gave up their land earlier say they still have not been treated fairly. They are asking the government to first resolve their issues before acquiring more land. But instead of direct talks, the government is pushing ahead, creating unnecessary friction. Many feel that if Chandrababu himself spoke to the farmers, the matter could be settled more easily.

  1. Indosol Land Deal

The government has agreed to give 4,500 acres of land in Prakasam district to Indosol, a solar power company. But this decision is sparking protests. Farmers are strongly opposing it and say they will not give up their land at any cost. Leftist parties are also joining the resistance. Given Indosol’s controversial past, this decision is drawing state-level attention.

Across all three issues, ordinary people and farmers are clearly unhappy. Many now believe that the Chief Minister must personally step in before things escalate further.
