Much Needed: Babu Clarifies on Free Bus Program!

One of the most prestigious and financially challenging initiatives of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh is the upcoming free RTC bus travel program for women.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu clarified the details of this program today, revealing key aspects regarding its implementation.

Chandrababu confirmed that the scheme will come into effect on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day.

It was further clarified that women can avail this scheme free of cost and travel in RTC buses without paying a single rupee starting from August 15. He added that women can travel anywhere within the district under this program.

A crucial point to note is that the scheme is applicable only for intra-district travel. Women can use RTC buses within district limits for free, but inter-district travel is not covered under this scheme.

This specification mirrors the models already implemented in Karnataka and Telangana, where only intracity travel is included under similar free bus programs. The Andhra Pradesh government has now imposed the same regulation.
