With the GHMC election just around the corner, all eyes are on who is going to be the next Mayor. Although BJP and Congress are eyeing to bag the mayor post, their dreams are far from reality. Ex-officio members play a key deciding factor and TRS has the highest number of ex-officios. With chances for TRS to win mayor post high, naturally, there are several aspirants for the post in TRS. It is reliably learnt that TRS may give an opportunity to a woman leader to be the mayor. With this, women in prominent political families turned aspirants for the key post.

Daughter of former Home Minister late Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s daughter-in-law, PJR’s daughter P Vijaya Reddy, V Mamta Reddy, wife of Ramnagar Corporator V Srinivas Reddy, Senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Keshava Rao’s daughter Vijaya Lakshmi, Minister Malla Reddy’s daughter, Deputy Speaker T Padmarao’s daughter-in-law, sitting Mayor Bonthu Rammohan’s wife, Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy’s daughter-in-law and others are leading the race. The list is huge as there are several aspirants for the post in the TRS. It needs to be seen who will be the final choice by CM KCR and Minister KTR.
