For the past few months, Telangana politics have largely revolved around the Kaleshwaram Project scam, the Formula E case, and the high-profile drug bust. Recently, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed some of these issues during an informal interaction with the media.
During the conversation, Revanth Reddy made it clear that several senior BRS leaders involved in alleged fraudulent activities would be sent to jail at the right time. He even used the word “climax” while saying, “They will all be locked up in the climax,” implying that significant arrests may take place toward the end of the Congress government’s tenure in Telangana.
This strong comment appears to have hit a nerve with KTR, who gave a sharp response.
Clearly agitated by the remark, KTR said, “Until now, I exercised restraint out of respect for the Chief Minister’s office. But let me ask you directly, Revanth, what is the basis for your statement about me being involved in drug cases?”
“Do you even have an iota of proof? Is there any case registered? I challenge you to come out in the open and show the evidence you have to support your claims. Or admit that this is just another cheap, vulgar, and baseless narrative from you.”
It’s evident that KTR is deeply displeased with the Chief Minister’s comments linking him to the drug case.
