Harish Rao Counters Nara Lokesh Over Banakacharla

For a long time, now, there have been several debates about the water distribution system between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, chief ministers Chandrababu and Revanth Reddy have been looking to find an amicable solution for this issue. 

While there has been an active debate and discussion happening on this matter between the two concerned governments, it is now the turn of BRS to try and milk some sentiment out of it.

Yesterday, after Lokesh confidently said the Banakacharla project would anyway be happening under the jurisdiction of government of Andhra Pradesh, the BRS ecosystem looked rattled. 

Lokesh said the government of Andhra Pradesh never stopped the Kaleshwaram Project, nor did they fight for any additional waters from the same. He confidently said the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are Telugu people and they are to be treated equally.

However, this statement triggered the BRS ecosystem and the revert bark statement came from Harish Rao. In his response to Lokesh, Harish Rao addressed the media today and said “ We are not dumb people to stay calm when they are building Banakacharla project. They might have 10 MPs on their side and their BJP government might be in power, but we know how to stop the Banakacharla project..” Harish Rao said. 

Why Lokesh made valid argument about how the government of Andhra Pradesh never obstructed the Kaleshwaram Project, the response from Harish Rao has been rather agitated. He tried to make it look more political than the interests of the people of Telugu states.
