The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu is holding the key cards in the incumbent India government at the central level. He is cleverly, leveraging his MP strength to benefit Andhra Pradesh.
The same can be understood from the fact that the central government is allocating projects and funds to Andhra Pradesh, almost on an unprecedented level. This got established again when R&B minister Nitin Gadkari announced significant roadway grants to Andhra Pradesh.
Reacting to the earlier request from chief minister Chandrababu for the allocation of road projects, Gadkari announced the principal planning and development of new roadway projects in the state.
Some of the new projects that were announced due to Andhra Pradesh are as below:
Hyderabad – Vijayawada road to be expanded to 6 lanes. Estimated cost: ₹6,700 crore
Vijayawada – Machilipatnam road to be expanded to 6 lanes. Estimated cost: ₹2,600 crore
Vinukonda– Guntur road to be expanded to 4 lanes. Estimated cost: ₹2,605 crore
Guntur – Nizampatnam road to be expanded to 4 lanes. Estimated cost: ₹2,000 crore
Buggakayyapeta – Giddalur road to be expanded to 4 lanes. Estimated cost: ₹4,200 crore
Akiveedu– Digamarru road to be expanded to 4 lanes. Estimated cost: ₹2,500 crore
Pedana – Lakshmipuram road to be expanded to 4 lanes. Estimated cost: ₹4,200 crore
Mudunur– Kadapa road to be expanded to 4 lanes. Estimated cost: ₹1,182 crore
On top of that, it has been further communicated that more projects with allocated budgets of ₹1 lakh crore will be allocated to Andhra Pradesh in the coming year. Chief minister Chandrababu thanked Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari for the significant allocations.
