The highly controversial murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy was largely politicised by the YSR Congress ecosystem just before the 2019 election. However, this backfired badly as YCP’s own Avinash Reddy had fingers pointed at him in the case.
In this context, Viveka’s daughter YS Sunitha has made a series of highly interesting revelations as she opened up about the events that preceded and followed her father’s murder.
Sunitha revealed that Viveka was very fond of Avinash Reddy from the early days and had even said multiple times that he wished to see Avinash groomed into a good politician.
“It absolutely shocked me to learn that the very same Avinash Reddy, who was rated so highly by my father, ended up killing him. While my father looked up to Avinash as a future politician, the latter went to the extent of murdering the very man who trusted and nurtured him,” Sunitha said.
Sunitha then made another stunning revelation, stating that Jagan had refused to hold the final yatra (Sava Yatra) of her father for undisclosed reasons. “I could not comprehend why, but my brother Jagan opposed the final yatra of my father. Yet, the very same Jagan called for a wide protest in Pulivendula when his cadres were attacked. The double standards still shock me.”
The series of comments made by Sunitha on the occasion of Viveka’s 74th Jayanti were as striking as they were sharp, as she directly addressed her two brothers, Jagan and Avinash.
