Free Bus Scheme launched by the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh has instantly boosted its image among people, especially women. Across the state, women are celebrating this decision and praising the government for fulfilling the promise. From early morning, buses under the scheme have been running in full swing, and women are making the most of the facility.
Over 8,000 buses, including Pallevelugu, Ultra Pallevelugu and even express services, have been made available for free travel. Women from villages, towns and cities are actively using them to reach workplaces, schools, offices and markets.
Many women expressed surprise, saying they never expected the scheme to actually be implemented given the state’s financial situation. Some shared that this move has become a matter of pride and relief for them.
Another section of women pointed out the financial benefits. On average, they are saving nearly ₹70 per day on travel, which adds up to about ₹2,000 per month. For working women and daily commuters, this is a big support. Even in rural areas, the scheme is receiving overwhelming response, with women calling it a real lifeline.
Overall, the public talk is extremely positive. The Free Bus Scheme has not only brought financial relief but also created goodwill for the coalition government across Andhra Pradesh.
