‘Jagan Anna Muddhu, Rajani Oddhu’

One of the most internally damaging leaders in YSR Congress is Vidadala Rajani. She has gained a reputation for being disliked even by her own party supporters, mainly because of the antisocial activities that happened in the Chilakaluripeta constituency during Jagan’s time as CM.

This became clear once again when local YSR Congress leaders in Chilakaluripeta started a new campaign with the slogan “Jagan Anna Muddhu, Rajani Oddhu.”

The campaign was initiated by, a YCP leader and husband of Nadendla constituency YCP MPP Rani. At a recent party-level meeting, he alleged that Rajani was ruthless towards her own party cadres and had filed around 180 cases against YCP workers when she was the local MLA.

He further said that Rajani had the audacity to trouble her own supporters and declared that they would not work under her leadership in the future. He also mentioned that this matter would soon be taken to Jagan directly.

Rajani seems to be one of the very few contemporary politicians facing such strong negativity within her own party. If her own cadre is openly rejecting her, the chances of her winning an MLA seat again appear very slim.

Even Jagan seems to have understood the situation, which is why she was shifted to the Guntur MLA seat in the 2024 election, instead of contesting again from Chilakaluripeta where there was a strong anti-wave against her. What will happen in 2029 remains to be seen.
