VP Candidate: Sharmila Trolls Jagan as ‘Dattaputrudu’

The race for the upcoming Vice President election is picking up momentum by the day, and a separate political discourse is unfolding around it. On that note, Andhra Pradesh Congress president Sharmila has targeted her brother and YCP chief YS Jagan.

Sharmila labelled Jagan as Modi’s “Dattaputrudu” for his unconditional support to the NDA alliance regardless of the situation or consequences.

“The BJP is an amalgamation of Babu, Jagan, and Pawan, as they are always supporting Modi on all fronts. While TDP and JSP are at least openly allied with NDA, YCP is in a secret alliance, which is even worse,” she remarked.

Sharmila pointed out that Jagan is shamelessly supporting NDA’s Vice President candidate while the INDIA bloc has fielded a Telugu candidate, Sudershan Reddy. She questioned the need for Jagan to support the NDA candidate when the opposition had presented a deserving Telugu nominee.

The AP Congress president further alleged that YSR Congress is nothing but the B team of the BJP in Andhra Pradesh. She accused YCP of blatantly deceiving the people of the state by backing an RSS candidate over a Telugu candidate.

Sharmila’s attack on Jagan was sharp and loaded with strong arguments, leaving the former chief minister with little room for defense against these legitimate accusations from his own sister.
