The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, has been very particular about ensuring public-friendly governance in the state. He has been repeatedly advising his party representatives to stay connected with the people and avoid any untoward incidents.
However, several MLAs have recently crossed the party line and come under the radar of Chandrababu.
Incidentally, the chief minister has already spoken one-on-one with as many as 35 TDP MLAs. The common factor among them is that they have all been in his bad books, which invited his attention and led to reprimands.
From now on, the chief minister is not likely to be as patient. He made it clear that he intends to take matters into his own hands very soon.
“I have been assessing the performance of all the ruling alliance MLAs. From now on, if I don’t like something about anyone, I will reprimand them once. If they don’t change, I will try to make them understand the second time. That’s about it. There will be no third warning. From then, there will only be harsh consequences,” Chandrababu said.
It is evident that Chandrababu is very serious about this, and any provocative activities by public representatives could very well result in strict consequences.
