The Telugu states, along with the rest of the country, will be celebrating the auspicious occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi in just a couple of days, and the festive spirit is already in full swing.
In this context, something interesting is happening in Andhra Pradesh involving IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
On the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi and the upcoming Dussehra festival, those setting up worship stations requested the government to provide free electricity supply.
The proposal reached IT Minister Lokesh, who responded very positively.
According to Lokesh’s latest social media statement, the government has agreed to provide free electricity to Vinayaka pandals, and orders to this effect will be issued.
Similarly, for the upcoming Dasara Sharannavaratri festivals, free electricity will also be extended to Durga pandals. The coalition government has allocated Rs. 25 crores for this initiative.
While this might seem like a small gesture, it is such humanitarian moves that set visionary leaders apart. This is exactly where Lokesh is scoring extra points and shaping his image as a people-friendly leader.
