‘India Is a Big Boy, Not a Schoolchild’

US political thinker Sanchez has strongly criticized President Donald Trump’s stance on India, calling his approach “haphazard and shortsighted.” Commenting on the recent tariffs on India, Sanchez said that India should not be treated like a small country still learning its place but as a “big boy” that has already established itself as a key global power.

He explained that imposing tariffs on India without a proper strategy could backfire and damage bilateral relations. According to Sanchez, India’s economic and strategic position in the world makes it an important partner for the US, and policies that ignore this reality show poor planning.

His remarks come amid growing debate on how Trump’s tariffs influence international trade and US foreign policy. Many analysts believe that his aggressive trade tactics could strain ties with allies, with India being one of the most affected.
