As Undavalli Arun Kumar, rightly pointed out, Jagan followed the strange principle of opposing the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, but directly supporting the very same NDA candidate in the Vice president election.
Many political experts were of the opinion that Jagan is still looking to be in the good books of NDA by supporting their VP candidate. However, it appears that the desperate attempts of the ICP ecosystem to appease NDA are not proving to be suffice.
The same is to be understood from the latest statement issued by Andhra Pradesh, BJP president VN Madhav as he humbled YCP despite their unconditional support to the NDA.
“As an established political practice, the NDA sought support of all political parties for the VP elections. Just because YCP was one of the parties to support NDA, it doesn’t mean we have any political understanding with them. YCP will still be viewed as a corrupt party as pointed out by Modi and Amit Shah themselves. We will continue to fight against their corrupt system.” AP BJP chief Madhav said.
“YCP ni ekkada unchaalo akkade unchuthaam” the strong-willed BJP regional head pointed out. This is a strong statement that shows YCP its place in the political system.
While Jagan and his men might have expected kinder words from BJP after unconventional support in the VP election, that’s not even remotely the case. The fact that it was established that YCP would be held in their appropriate position regardless of their efforts must be belittling experience for the party.
