Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu is widely regarded as one of the very best administrators and visionary chief ministers in India. This was again on display as he interacted with the collectors in a high-profile conference yesterday.
This was precisely when Chandrababu delivered an iconic and encouraging speech for the collectors under his jurisdiction.
“Don’t mistake my toughness on the job. I am very particular about delivering good administration. Collectors must keep in mind that this part of their career will be remembered for the rest of their lives. We have historically produced the some of the best collectors in the country and my full cooperation will be granted if you specialise in your job.” Babu said.
Chandrababu further cited the examples of Sathyanarayana, Sahani, and Chandrasekhar who worked under his leadership in Andhra Pradesh and later went on to become IT secretaries in Delhi. “I won’t disturb you once you start delivering good administration.”
The Andhra Pradesh chief minister further quoted that Subbarao who had worked as a collector under his administration later went on to become the RBI governor and specialised in finance.
This is the kind of legacy that very a few chief ministers in India can boast of but Chandrababu really is a master craftsman when it comes to effective governance and grooming of the bureaucracy.
