The closely anticipated Assembly sessions have started in Andhra Pradesh, and the same was communicated by the speaker of the House Ayyannapatrudu in his brief speech during the start of the session today.
However, the issue with the Assembly session today is that the house was filled only with the ruling NDA MLAs while the opposition YCP MLAs are nowhere to be seen.
In fact, YCP chief and the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan himself is nowhere to be seen in the house as he avoided the session habitually again.
While the ruling government, including CM Chandrababu had already invited Jagan to come to the Assembly and speak on public policy, the latter has dismayed the same. In fact, even his party MLAs have stood away from the assembly sessions today which is a poor reflection of the scheme of things.
Generally, during the Assembly sessions, it is the opposition parties which are more prepared as they get a chance to call out the ruling party in the assembly house. But in the case of YCP, the party is not even interested in attending this session.
On one hand, Jagan says he would attend the Assembly if he is given the deposit status and in meanwhile, while the assembly is happening, he leisurely called his MLAs for a meeting this afternoon at his Tadepalli residence.
