The government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a very proactive stand when it comes to implementing investment policies. One of the key measures taken is the allocation of land at a price of just Rs 1 per acre.
However, the YSR Congress group tried to defame this proactive move by implying that the NDA government is allocating land to industries at throwaway prices without purpose. This topic was brought up for discussion in the legislative council today.
In response, Lokesh addressed the issue in the council. He pointed out that the NDA government is allocating land at these prices only to reputed companies. He added that companies like TCS and Cognizant, which received land under this scheme, are creating nearly 25,000 jobs in total.
The allegation made it appear as if the NDA government was giving land to URSA for just Rs 1. But Lokesh strongly countered this, turning the focus back on Jagan’s group.
Incidentally, Jagan himself had publicly stated multiple times that he would readily provide land for Rs 1 to URSA companies. He made these comments in several public meetings. Shockingly, the same YCP group is now targeting the NDA government over these lands, which is clearly contradictory.
