Coffee Or Tea – Just ₹10 at International Airport

Airports in India have always carried a certain image of being shiny, modern but too expensive for the common man. Even a simple cup of tea could cost a hundred rupees. Udaan cafe scheme came as an answer to this scheme. After the successful implementation of Five Udaan cafe scheme across the county, Now knocks the doors of Andhra Pradesh with a new budget friendly affordable snacking and tea/coffee options at just 10 rupees in our very own Vijayawada International Airport.

The cafe was inaugurated yesterday by the Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, which is offering hot coffee, tea, and snacks for just ₹10. Yes, you read that right ₹10 at an airport. For students, families, and workers, airport food has always been out of reach. Most people carried their own tiffin or stayed hungry until they left the airport. But with Udaan Cafe, everyone can now enjoy a decent, affordable meal before their journey.

Walk into the cafe and you’ll notice something special. Youngsters, elderly travelers, daily wage workers, and families all sitting together, sipping tea, chatting, and smiling. There’s a sense of equality, a feeling that the airport is no longer just for the rich, but for everyone.

This small step connects beautifully with the larger UDAN scheme, which made air travel affordable to the masses. Passengers are already giving a big thumbs-up. The queues are long, but the smiles are wider. If such cafes open in airports across the country, the airport experience will truly change forever. And sometimes, progress doesn’t come with big price tags or tall promises, it comes in the form of a ₹10 cup of coffee that makes every traveler feel at home.

At the inauguration ceremony, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu also promised to open up a brand new Integrated terminal that would have flights connecting Vijayawada direct to Singapore and Dallas catering to the state’s diaspora abroad and also would host direct flight connectivity to Tier-2 cities of the country.
