After Dubbaka victory, BJP is certainly on fire. All eyes are on BJP as it is clashing with TRS and Congress in the GHMC. At this juncture, BJP seems to have scored a self-goal. Dubbaka MLA Raghunandan Rao’s comments on YSR’s death are considered as a self-goal by many. Raghunandan’s slip of tongue on Sunday, while addressing the media at BJP party office, hasn’t gone down well with many. He had said, “Earlier one man spoke in the same manner and we have seen where he has gone. ‘Paavurala Gutta’ and your (KCR) fate will be the same. There will be a reaction for everything.”
These comments have hurt the fans of the beloved leader YSR.
Raghunandan himself admitted that he has received several calls and messages over his comments. This clearly indicates the reaction from people. Although Raghunandan apologised for his comments openly and expressed regret for his remarks on late YSR’s death, the damage has already been done.
YSRCP voters in Telangana are deeply hurt by Raghunandan’s comments. And these votes may be a loss to BJP which is hoping to clinch the GHMC from TRS. It is also known that the Reddy community is dominant in Telangana. The community votes are intact. These votes are going to cost BJP now after Raghunandan’s comments. If BJP loses GHMC by any chance, certainly, Raghunandan may be blamed for this. It needs to be seen what is in store for the Lotus Party in the Greater Hyderabad.
