The infamous Andhra Pradesh liquor scam is once again haunting the YSR Congress leadership, as multiple individuals linked to the case are now facing legal consequences. Recently, YCP MP Midhun Reddy spent 70 days in jail in connection with the same case.
Now, it is the turn of another YSR Congress leader, Chevireddy Mohit Reddy, to face the music for his alleged involvement in the liquor scam.
Mohit Reddy, the son of former Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, is one of the primary accused in this case and is facing serious allegations tied to the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam.
In a recent development, Mohit Reddy approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking anticipatory bail. However, the High Court dismissed his petition and refused to grant him bail in the case.
This decision essentially gives a free hand to the investigating authorities to take appropriate legal action, which could include arresting Mohit Reddy in due course.
Reports suggest that Mohit Reddy had been anticipating legal repercussions in the liquor case for several months, but the crackdown now appears to be intensifying. It may only be a matter of time before he faces the full impact of the investigation.
