New IT Park Near Tirupati to Boost Jobs and Innovation in AP

A consortium of US based IT professionals (NRIs) and financial experts are set to transform the barren land near Tirupati into a cutting edge innovation hub, marking a significant stride in the tech landscape of the region. This ambitious project, named as “The Pelican Valley IT Park” is envisioned as AP’s newest epicenter for technology and enterprise, which directly addresses the skill-utilisation gap among thousands of graduates struggling to procure employment.

Spanning an initial 20 acres, already acquired and listed for vertical development by the Tirupathi Urban Development Authority (TUDA), Pelican Valley is strategically situated at Vedurupattu crossroads along the prominent Chennai-Kolkata NH-16 highway.

The location ensures direct connectivity to metropolitan cities like Bengaluru, Chennai and Tirupati as well as proximity to premier educational and industrial centers such as IIT-Madras and Tirupati, the ISRO facility at Sriharikota, and Sri City SEZ. This placement not only promises accessibility but also integrates affordable housing options and minimal urban congestion, creating an ideal environment for both employers and employees.

Project promoter Vani Kunisetty announced plans to establish Pelican Valley as South India’s most vibrant white-collar employment hub, where affordability, innovation, and social impact converge. With the aim to bridge the gap between tech development and soaring levels of unemployment or underpayments, Managing Director MV Rao emphasized that training would be tailored to individual capabilities, focusing on practical, industry-specific skills.

Partner IT companies are set to conduct on-campus recruitment drives. The park’s future vision extends beyond job creation, encompassing incubation centers for startups, R&D and innovation facilities, and dedicated spaces for both product and service IT firms. Active collaborations with IITs, universities, and corporate partners will nurture research partnerships, internships, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
