The Kesineni family is one of the most influential and financially strong political families in Krishna district. To put this into perspective, Kesineni Nani served as Vijayawada MP on behalf of TDP until 2024 before switching to YCP, which effectively stalled his political trajectory.
It’s worth noting that even during Nani’s tenure as TDP MP, he had several issues with local leadership and MLAs. Multiple MLAs under the Vijayawada parliamentary segment often complained about him, citing that the working relationship was not smooth.
Nani had a reputation for being straightforward but struggled to gel with other public representatives — a trait that can be challenging in politics.
Fast forward to today, and it seems that his brother, Kesineni Chinni, who won the MP seat for TDP in 2024, is facing similar coordination issues with his MLA colleagues.
Recently, TDP MLA Kolikapudi Srinivas publicly commented that Chinni’s PA, Rajesh, has been interfering in party activities and causing trouble for both leadership and the public. The complaints mirror those that were raised about Nani during his tenure.
Essentially, while the Kesineni brothers may have a clean public image, the recurring issue is their difficulty in working collaboratively with other elected representatives. In politics, building and maintaining relationships with all tiers of leadership is crucial, something the brothers may need to address promptly.
