Cyclone Montha is set to bring intense rainfall across various districts of Andhra Pradesh over the next five days, as per the latest weather outlook issued on October 26 by the AP State Disaster Management Authority.
From October 26 to 30, several districts like Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore and Tirupati are likely to witness heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, especially between October 27 and 29. October 28 and 29 are expected to be the most critical days with very heavy to extremely heavy showers in multiple regions.
Southern districts such as Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapuram, Sri Sathya Sai, and YSR Kadapa are predicted to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, with intensity peaking around October 28 and 29. Rayalaseema belt may see comparatively lower intensity rainfall on the first and last days of the forecast.
Coastal areas are expected to face stronger weather impact, with fishermen warned not to venture into the sea from October 26 to 30, particularly along and off the south AP coast due to dangerous sea conditions.
Residents in vulnerable areas are advised to stay alert, follow official updates, and take necessary precautions as Cyclone Montha advances.
