Minister Nara Lokesh is holding a press conference right now regarding the ongoing impact of Cyclone Montha across Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media, Lokesh assured that the state government is closely monitoring the situation in real time and that all relief and rescue operations are being carried out with utmost urgency and coordination.
He emphasized that officials and MLAs and MP’s across vulnerable districts have been put on high alert, with teams deployed to ensure rapid evacuation, restoration of essential services and immediate assistance to affected families.
Lokesh cautioned that the hours after 11:30 p.m. could be very critical due to the cyclone’s impact. He also stated that control rooms are functioning round the clock, and that no effort will be spared to protect lives and minimize damage as the cyclone moves inland.
