It’s no longer just politics for Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, it’s about people, presence, and purpose. On Monday, Lokesh held his 70th consecutive Praja Darbar at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri, and the event once again proved why he is increasingly being called the People’s Leader.
From the early hours, the party headquarters witnessed a massive turnout of citizens and TDP workers who came from various parts of the state to meet the minister. Lokesh began the session at 11 AM, and it continued uninterrupted for over four hours. Reports say that he did not even take a lunch break in between.
During the interaction, Lokesh personally met around 4,000 individuals, patiently hearing their grievances, collecting petitions, and ensuring immediate action wherever possible. What stood out was his hands-on approach, he greeted everyone warmly, posed for photographs with the visitors, and directly instructed officials to resolve issues on the spot.
Unlike the usual distant political interactions, Lokesh’s Praja Darbar felt personal and energetic, reflecting a clear shift in his public image. He appeared more confident, approachable, and deeply engaged with ground-level concerns.
Sources close to the TDP say Lokesh is determined to redefine governance through direct engagement, setting an example of accessible leadership. His consistent public outreach has begun to make a visible impact among the people, particularly the youth and grassroots workers.
As he continues to meet every individual until the very last person in line, Lokesh seems to be evolving from a politician into a true leader of the people, marking a remarkable transformation in his political journey.
