Karur Stampede: Vijay Fires On CM Now!

One of the most famous and unfortunate incidents in South Indian politics happened in Karur a few weeks ago when the political rally of Thalapathy Vijay led to a stampede which claimed 41 lives.

Vijay was away from the public eye for several days after this incident before finally coming out and holding a meet up with the victim families. He even handed over ₹20 lakh compensation to the victims before meeting with the family members last week.

Now, several days after the actual incident, Vijay has taken an unexpected stand as he has started to fire on Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin.

In his latest public communication, Vijay started to blame the chief minister for the series of events that happened after the horrifying Karur fiasco.

I was in indescribable pain and distress all these days because of losing members of our party family. During the time of silence and mourning, meaningless rumors and malicious political narratives were spread and forced upon us. All of this is aimed at destroying law and truth.

But we will stand firmly on the side of law and truth and wipe away these falsehoods. To those lawyers paid crores by the DMK who spread lies about us, and to this deceitful drama of the DMK government, Have you forgotten how you were cornered and left helpless in the Supreme Court?, Vijay revealed.

It can be noted that there were several media theories about how Vijay is to be blamed for the Karur stampede and it was framed in such a way that he needs to step down from politics as an act of remorse. It appears that this campaign has reached Vijay and he faults the CM for orchestrating the same.
