Amidst CM Tension, DCM Gives Strong Statement

Karnataka politics are usually known for their cinematic twists and terms. And the same is evident if we look at the incumbent Congress government that is in power.

On one hand, there are rumours that the incumbent chief minister Siddharamaiah does not have the full support of the party MLAs, and in the other Deputy CM Siva Kumar is reportedly moving the high command to elect him as the CM.

While there is a lot of discussion happening about the CM post, the deputy CM has issued a strong statement.

“All 140 MLAs are my MLAs. Making a group is not in my blood. The CM decided to reshuffle the cabinet. Everyone wants to become a minister, so it is quite natural for them to meet the leadership in Delhi. It is their right. We can’t stop them and say no.

The CM has said that he will complete 5 years. I wish him all the best. We will all work with him.
Both the CM and me have time and again said we abide by the high command, DCM Shiva Kumar stated.

Earlier it was speculated that Siva Kumar was promised 2.5 years, CM post after the Siddaramaiah tenure when the government originated. But amidst the latest speculations about Siddaramaiah wanting to continue as the CM for five years, DCM Shiva Kumar is reportedly plotting against it. But while addressing the media, Shiva Kumar pledged full support to the current CM.

Meanwhile, the Congress high command is reportedly occupied with the decision of whether or not to change the CM as power politics have hit the peak in Delhi.
