The core strength and the organisational structure of a party ultimately depends on the hard-working cadres. This is the reason why the Telugu desam party is in a league above other regional parties in Telugu states as they have a fundamentally strong cadre ship.
This was further strength and by the special efforts put by Lokesh, who orchestrated a massive membership drive, which added over one crore people into the TDP bandwagon. This power mode changed the game very much in favour of TDP, as it is now the strongest regional party in Telugu states.
Now it appears that this path that was laid by the Telugu Desam party is going to be followed by the BRS in Telangana.
A similar communication to this effect was made by BRS working president KTR who announced the start of an upcoming membership registration drive after the forthcoming Sarpanch election in the state.
After the completion of local body elections, a Membership Drive will be launched and the organisational structure will be strengthened, KTR stated today.
New committees will be formed at Booth, Village, Mandal, Municipality, Constituency, District and State levels, along with all other frontal organisations, to ensure stronger grassroots coordination.
This was the exact principal formula that was followed by Lokesh to strengthen TDP from the grassroot level, and it appears that KTR is taking a chapter from the book and executing it in a different capacity in Telangana.
