The Congress party is largely infamous for its group politics and power games. This is on display again now in Karnataka as a full blown war has emerged between CM Siddharamaiah and deputy CM DK Shivakumar.
Over the last couple of weeks or so, Karnataka politics have been burning up with debate about the possible shift in momentum and the appointment of a new CM in the place of SiddaRamaiah.
While this topic is running and discussion, Siva Kumar did something unexpected earlier in the day today as he posted on social media about “ Word power is world power. The biggest force in the world is to keep one’s word.”
A few people are commenting that this could be an indication that Siva Kumar was given the “word” by the Congress High command that he would be appointed as the CM after 2.5 years when Congress formed the government here in Karnataka. And he is doing everything in his power to make sure this turns to reality.
In reaction to this earlier post from the deputy CM on his Twitter handle, CM Siddaramaiah came up with a post of his own.
“A Word is not power unless it betters the World for the people. The Congress party, including me, is walking the talk for our people with compassion, consistency, and courage.”
The fact that both the CM and his deputy CM are referring to these “words” as they indulge in a social media debate is indicating a fallout between them. Meanwhile, the Congress high command is preparing for a high-level discussion with involved individuals and also Rahul Gandhi himself.
