Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy has done a road show the other day as part of the campaign of BJP in the GHMC elections. And much to the shocker, there are more police than people. Yesterday, Kishan Reddy did a road show at Kacheguda, Nallakunta and Golnaka areas of Greater Hyderabad.
While the rally was supposed to start at 9 am, however, due to no crowds, the rally was postponed to 11 am. Even after he began the roadshow at Sitarambagh, there were barely 20 people. In fact, there was more police security than the people. Since Kishan Reddy holds Union Minister rank in the Home department, security has been beefed up considering the sensitive issues.
In the whole roadshow, there were about 45 two-wheelers whereas police personnel were about 100. This is why Kishan Reddy has avoided talking at some junctions and moved onto the other junctions.Whereas the response for Kishan Reddy’s roadshow in Nallakunta and Golnaka were good. The crowd was good. Later in the evening, Kishan Reddy participated in the road show of BJP national president JP Nadda.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Hyderabad, it is expected that BJP’s chances may increase. It can be noted that PM is on official visit to review Covid-19 vaccine development at Bharat Biotech as part of his 3-city visit – Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad and Serum Institute of India in Pune.
