The previous YCP government got to learn a big lesson for messing up the capital project. The consequences were so strong that YCP went from 151 seats in 2019 to 11 seats in 2024, due to the shambolic approach towards Amaravati and the horrifying three capitals proposal.
While the natural expectation is that the party might have learnt their lesson for messing with Amaravati, the reality appears to be the exact opposite. The same is to be understood if we look at the latest statement from Ambati Rambabu.
Speaking with the Media yesterday, Ambati asked why Andhra Pradesh needs a world-class capital and questioned the need to develop Amaravati so very well.
After this statement from Ambati, even YCP hardcore supporters and activists are unable to comprehend the logic, let alone defend this pathetic statement issued by the YCP veteran.
While Jagan and his main men are already scratching their heads on the job of resurrecting the damage done for playing games with the capital, this statement from Ambati blows it all out of proportion. This is doing horrifying damage for YCP on social media as there are countless roles and satiric posts on this from last evening.
A neutral observer commented out that “Perhaps Ambati is being paid by some external forces to do some internal damage to YCP with such statements. Every time he comes out in front of the Media, he is delivering unrecoverable damage to YCP”.
